My Commitment to District 98
Businessman. Problem Solver. Community Leader.

I am running for the State House because I want to make sure District 98 remains a place where my children can raise their families and my future grandchildren can thrive. Like many of you, I care deeply about the safety of our neighborhoods, the strength of our local schools, and the way growth is shaping our community. My family and I attend Cathedral Church, and we’ve been proud to call this community home for more than 20 years.

With over 40 years in the maritime industry — including more than 15 years with Maersk Line and management roles at the Ports of Charleston, Baltimore, Norfolk, and Philadelphia — and nearly two decades as a small business owner, I have spent my career solving problems and making tough decisions. I am ready to bring that same steady, thoughtful leadership to Columbia.

Here is my commitment to you and to the future of our district:

I will work to make sure roads, drainage, and public works keep up with growth and are planned alongside development, not years after the fact. Growth should pay for growth, and I will push for real progress on the projects we deal with every day — from the Ashley Phosphate corridor, to Ladson Road, to the Dorchester Road bottleneck.

We all deserve to live in safe neighborhoods, and our kids should never have to worry about their safety at school. I will work to ensure law enforcement has the tools, training, and support they need, and I will back continued investment in police training and public safety efforts that make our communities stronger.

As a small business owner for nearly two decades, I know what it takes to keep finances in order. I will bring that same approach to state government by cutting waste, lowering taxes, and making sure every tax dollar is spent wisely.

Growth is happening, but we can be smart about it. I will support balanced growth that preserves green space, expands recreational opportunities, and keeps our neighborhoods intact. Development should never come at the expense of quality of life.

Parents should have total say in how their kids are educated. I support school choice, strong public schools, and fair pay for teachers. I also believe in expanding vocational and technical education to give students more options and real-world skills.

I believe public service starts with listening and leading with integrity. I will bring a steady, practical approach to Columbia that puts people ahead of politics and focuses on real results for our community.

I am proud to support those who have served. I will work to expand access to mental health care, job training, and resources for veterans and military families who have sacrificed for our country.

As a longtime youth coach, I know that sports are more than just games. Sports bring families together and help kids develop confidence, self-esteem, and life skills that carry over into every part of their future. I will continue to support policies that strengthen families and create opportunities for the next generation.
